Every neshama, or Jewish soul, is different. Some are drawn to traditional prayer services and liturgy, others crave silence, others feel most connected when singing or listening to Jewish music and still others feel most Jewishly connected by engaging in Torah study. In addition to our regular Friday night services, we also have a lay choir led by Cantor Michelle Rubin, an annual second day of Rosh HaShanah contemplative walk and tashlich, and Rabbi Jordie Gerson often leads Jewish meditation to open Shabbat services. Not finding what speaks to you? We are open, and eager, to hear any other suggestions you might have.
At Greenwich Reform Synagogue, spirituality is a large part of who we are. Our services are designed to be joyous, meaningful, and inclusive, blending music, prayer, and reflection to create a space where everyone feels welcome.
We invite you to join us for Shabbat services that are music-filled and contemplative. We also celebrate life’s most important moments together through b’nei mitzvah services and festive holiday celebrations.
We love kids at GRS! Our monthly Tot Shabbat introduces the joy of Shabbat with dance and (very loud) singing. Community dinners and family services make Shabbat a warm, welcoming and educational experience for families of all ages.
Friday Night Services
