JCC Preschool at GRS

At the JCC–GRS Preschool, our mission is to inspire children to become curious learners and kind, confident individuals.

We provide a nurturing environment where children innovate, create, and play together while discovering their unique voices. Guided by the values of kindness, respect, compassion, confidence, and responsibility, we welcome families of all faiths, ethnicities, and backgrounds.

We believe that a love of learning begins in early childhood. Using developmentally appropriate principles, our experienced educators blend child-initiated exploration with teacher-led activities. This balanced approach sparks curiosity, builds self-esteem, and lays the foundation for lifelong success.

Children are encouraged to express themselves, ask questions, and find joy in discovery—skills that prepare them not only for school but for life.

JCC-GRS Preschool

Philosophy: Our philosophy recognizes early childhood as a time of rapid growth and wonder. Through creative play, exploration, and hands-on experiences, children learn about themselves and the world around them. In our safe, warm, and caring environment, they develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally, while strengthening critical-thinking skills, self-awareness, and confidence.

Facility: Our preschool is located on the beautiful grounds of Greenwich Reform Synagogue in Cos Cob. With a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, children enjoy a welcoming space designed to support growth, imagination, and learning.

At the JCC–GRS Preschool, your child will find not just a school, but a community—one that nurtures their potential and celebrates the joy of childhood.
